WILL YOU BE MY LAWYER?

Yes. When you come to us for divorce planning services an attorney/client relationship will be created.  This means that everything you tell us will be kept confidential.  It also means that we will not be able to communicate directly with your spouse but could communicate with your spouse’s lawyer.

WILL I HAVE TO PAY A RETAINER?

No.  If you decide at any time after your Divorce Blueprint initial meeting that you would like to retain our firm for additional legal services, we can discuss the scope of those services and additional fees at that time.

HOW SHOULD I GO ABOUT GETTING A DIVORCE?

We can examine all of the options available to you for divorce including mediation, arbitration, litigation and negotiated divorce. Each option will have pros and cons depending on your situation.

CAN YOU MEDIATE MY DIVORCE?

No. Although we are both mediators and lawyers, once one of us has an attorney/client relationship with a person, neither of us can act as a neutral mediator for that client’s divorce.  We can, however, refer to you other mediators and would work with you through the mediation process at your lawyer.
